IHHT Therapy: Enhance your performance with altitude training
Boost your performance through IHHT therapy, simulating the effect of training at an altitude of 2'500 - 6’000m above sea level. Benefit from breathing alternating oxygen levels to elevate your physical and mental resilience.
Why choose IHHT Therapy?
Interval Hypoxia-Hyperoxia Therapy (IHHT) is a cutting-edge treatment designed to boost the efficiency of your mitochondria, the powerhouses of your cells. At our Longevity Clinic, we simulate training at an altitude of 2'500 - 6’000m above sea level through fluctuating oxygen levels by alternating between oxygen-reduced (hypoxia) and oxygen-enriched (hyperoxia) air.
Through this alternating process, your body learns to adapt and optimize its functions, empowering your mitochondria to work more efficiently. IHHT Therapy is for example particularly popular among athletes for enhancing fitness, endurance, recovery, memory, and weight loss — thanks to a boosted fat metabolism and improved sleep quality.
This simulated altitude training can also help you manage metabolic issues, cardiovascular concerns, neurodegenerative conditions, fatigue, and inflammation – alleviating symptoms and providing preventative care.
Treatment duration
40-60 minutes
Treatment frequency
We suggest 2-3 session per week over a course of 3-6 weeks (10-15 sessions) for lasting effects on performance and cellular health.
How IHHT Therapy works
In your IHHT session, you’ll sit comfortably as we fit you with an IHHT mask that alternates between oxygen-poor and oxygen-rich air for 50 minutes. As you breathe deeply, you’re free to relax with a meditation session from AYUN — or in any way that makes you feel at ease.
Throughout the session, we continuously monitor your blood oxygen levels using a pulse oximeter, carefully recording your values to ensure optimal support during and after your therapy.
Afterward, we assist you in removing the mask. Since this new experience can be demanding for your body, we recommend drinking plenty of water and allowing your body time to rest and adapt.
Maximize IHHT Therapy with additional treatments
To maximize the benefits of IHHT altitude training, consider combining it with AYUN's Red Light Therapy or Cryotherapy for enhanced performance, optimized circulation, and faster recovery.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is IHHT Therapy?
IHHT, or Interval Hypoxia-Hyperoxia Therapy, is an innovative method to boost your physical performance through a unique form of oxygen delivery. By wearing an oxygen mask that alternates between low and high oxygen levels, IHHT optimizes your cellular energy production, helping you feel fitter, enhancing endurance, and accelerating recovery.
Who should not undergo IHHT?
IHHT Therapy is not recommended for individuals with acute respiratory infections, lung disease, or fever. Pregnant individuals should also avoid IHHT Therapy.
