Cryotherapy

Cryo – The Cold-Effective Regeneration Boost

After daily physical exertions or an intense workout, optimal recovery is crucial for long-term health. With a duration of just 2–3 minutes, cryotherapy offers a highly effective, deep regeneration.

What is Cryotherapy?

Cryotherapy is an advanced treatment where the body is exposed to extremely cold temperatures as low as -110 °C for a short time. This method aims to alleviate a variety of conditions and improve overall well-being.

Why Should You Use Cryotherapy?

The extreme cold treatment offers extensive benefits: it shortens recovery time after exercise, alleviates muscle soreness, pain, and inflammation, and effectively treats skin conditions. It can also enhance mood and boost energy levels.

Here are the most well-known benefits of cryotherapy:

Pain Relief: Effectively reduces muscle pain and inflammation.

Skin Improvement: Promotes healthier and more radiant skin.

Mood and Energy Boost: Can elevate your mood and increase your energy levels.

Improved Blood Circulation: Enhances circulation and supports immune function.

Faster Recovery: Speeds up recovery after intense physical activities.

What is the Difference Between Cryotherapy and Ice Bath Treatment?

Cryotherapy involves a brief exposure to extremely cold temperatures in controlled chambers that can reach up to -110 °C. The duration of cryotherapy is usually 2–3 minutes, and special clothing prevents direct skin contact.

In contrast, ice bath treatment involves immersing the body in cold water at temperatures between 0 and 5 °C, with the head remaining above water. The duration of an ice bath varies based on individual tolerance but also typically lasts only a few minutes.

Both methods reduce pain and inflammation, improve circulation, and promote relaxation, making them popular in sports and recovery.

How a Cryotherapy Session Works:

First, your suitability for the treatment is assessed.
During cryotherapy, you wear swimwear, socks, gloves, shoes, a mask, and a head covering, all provided by us except for the swimwear.

You enter the cryochamber and are continuously monitored, with your attendant staying in the room to keep an eye on you.

The treatment typically lasts 2–3 minutes. Afterward, you slowly exit the cryochamber and use warm drinks and towels to warm up.

Want to Further Optimize the Benefits of Cryotherapy for Your Longevity?

Maximize the health benefits by combining cryotherapy with other wellness treatments like the Finnish sauna or infrared sauna.
