Cryotherapy: Boost your regeneration with advanced cold treatment
Experience the impact of temperatures as low as -110°C with Cryotherapy – accelerating regeneration, strengthening immunity, and reducing stress.
Why Cryotherapy is beneficial
Cryotherapy is an advanced medical treatment widely used in sports medicine, rehabilitation, and Longevity. During your session, you’ll step into our cryochamber, which gradually cools to temperatures as low as -110°C. Your body benefits from this holistic cooling process through a range of positive health effects.
Also known as whole-body cold therapy, Cryotherapy is designed to reduce inflammatory responses in your body. This can lead to faster recovery after physical exertion, relief from sore muscles, and improved skin tone.
With regular sessions, Cryotherapy aims to increase the circulation of immune cells, enhancing immune system strength. Additionally, it can help decrease chronic inflammation in the body.
Cryotherapy can even trigger endorphin release, elevating your mood and reducing stress. AYUN’s Cryotherapy can therefore positively impact both your body and mind.
Treatment duration
2-5 minutes
Treatment frequency
Cryotherapy should be done 2-3 times a week, with 10-15 sessions for maximum results and maintenance every 1-2 weeks afterward.
How Cryotherapy works
For a whole-body cold therapy session, you’ll step into the cryochamber at our Longevity Clinic in Zurich, dressed in a swimsuit or undergarments. We provide you with socks, gloves, shoes, a mask, and head cover. Once our medical staff closes the chamber, you’ll spend about three minutes in -110°C. After the Cryotherapy, we’ll guide you out of the chamber and provide towels and warm drinks to help you warm up comfortably.
Our staff remains in the room throughout the session, monitoring you closely and providing support as needed.
Amplify the effects of Cryotherapy
To maximize the benefits of Cryotherapy, you may pair it with AYUN’s Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy and Red Light Therapy. Combined, these therapies can enhance your body’s natural healing processes and further reduce inflammation.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Cryotherapy?
Cryotherapy, or whole-body cold therapy, is a cutting-edge, three-minute treatment where your body is exposed to temperatures as low as -110°C inside a cryochamber. This process can support regeneration, reduce stress, alleviate muscle and joint pain, and decrease inflammation.
Who should avoid Cryotherapy?
Cryotherapy is not recommended for individuals with cold allergies, severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), acute infections or inflammation, serious heart conditions, atrial fibrillation, arrhythmias, heart failure, or open wounds. It is also unsuitable for pregnant individuals and those with pacemakers or ICDs.
