Our genetic tests analyze specific genetic variations, known as SNPs (Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms), which are common in the population. These mutations are associated with an increased risk for various diseases or health conditions. However, this does not mean that you will necessarily develop these conditions. Instead of providing a fixed diagnosis, we focus on identifying genetic risk factors and offering you practical solutions to actively and effectively reduce those risks.
Preventive genetic tests, not diagnostic tests
Our tests are designed with prevention in mind. They highlight risks that can be positively influenced by an adjusted lifestyle and targeted interventions. We do not test for rare genetic mutations that directly cause diseases like Parkinson's or breast cancer. However, if you are interested in a more in-depth analysis, we collaborate with a specialized laboratory in Zurich. In such cases, a personalized consultation will be provided, involving an experienced geneticist.
No comprehensive genome sequencing
We analyze targeted areas of your DNA that reveal relevant risk factors for specific health conditions. We do not offer full genome sequencing. Instead, we focus on providing a solution to minimize each tested risk.
Safety and support with the resultsThe results of our tests are always discussed with you in a personal consultation with one of our doctors. Our goal is to provide reassurance and show you how to manage and offset your genetic risks effectively. The genetic tests are not offered individually but as part of one of our comprehensive Longevity Checks, allowing us to create a holistic view of your health. Our approach is to use the knowledge of your genetic predispositions as an opportunity for you to proactively shape your health.
